FAQ’s

How long will it take to get an appointment with a therapist or an evaluation from the neuropsychologist?
It depends on scheduling.  For therapists, the busiest time of the day is after school.  If you and your child’s schedule is flexible, it’s easier and quicker to get in with a therapist.  If your child can only be seen after school, the wait will be longer. However, get on the waiting list, because if a cancellation occurs, we could fit your child in earlier.

Do you bill insurance for services?
We bill Medicaid and some insurance companies.  We are working on getting in network with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield and some other big insurance companies.

Will you go to the schools and see my child for therapy?
If your child is on an IEP, it is the school’s responsibility to provide the needed services within the school setting.  Unless a special arrangement is made, we will not provide therapy to your child on the public school premise.  We can however provide services in a private school, as long as the school is willing to let us come to their school.  Even though we cannot provide direct services to your child on the public school premises, we can attend IEP meetings if requested.

What do I do if I’m currently seeing somebody and want to add you as a therapist or switch to you for therapy?
If your child’s insurance is Medicaid, he/she is only allowed one therapist per discipline (i.e. only one occupational therapist can see your child at a time).  If you want to switch to us, our staff will have you sign a change of provider form that we send in to Medicaid.  If your child is not on Medicaid, we will have to talk with your insurance company to see if you can have more than one therapist serving your child.

Do you see adults?
We currently see developmentally disabled adults, only. If you have questions, please call (405)286-3749.

Where do you see the kids for services?
For speech, occupational and physical therapy, we prefer to see children in their homes, however, we have a clinic if the family would prefer coming to us.  If the child lives in an area of Oklahoma we do not serve, the service will need to be in the clinic.

What parts of Oklahoma do you cover?
We have therapists who serve the following areas:  Oklahoma City Metro, Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, El Reno, Guthrie, Shawnee, Altus.

Do you provide any type of on location training?
Yes, we frequently perform trainings across the state to schools, day cares, and anywhere else needed.  For more information on our trainings, please contact our office.
